Mr. Lichtman was the founder and princi- pal of Lichtman and Associates, a food broker organization. He spent 20 years in the coffee industry, serving as region president of Superior Coffee and Foods in Detroit and branch manager of General Foods Corporation (Kraft Foods). He also served as the president of the Greater Detroit Chamber of Commerce Food Industry Council, director of the Michigan Restaurant Association, president of the Gleaners Food Bank and director of the Interna- tional Foodservice Executives Associa- tion. Mr. Lichtman was active in the Illinois Automatic Merchandise Coun- cil, the Michigan Distributors and Vendors Association and the Wiscon- sin Automatic Merchandise Council. While living in Michigan, Mr. Licht- man served on the Farmington School Board for nine years and was president of the Oakland County School Board.
