Mr. Borofsky was an economist and reacher, worked for General Motors for 30 years and was a professor at Wayne State University for 10 years. He had a master's in business from NYU, was a chairman of the board of Westbury Hebrew Congregation in Long Island, N.Y., was active with and founder of ' the Detroit Executive Service Corps, a member of Congregation Shaarey Zedek and was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Borofsky is survived by his wife, Shirley Verier Borofsky; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Eric and Dr. Marcy Borofsky of West Bloomfield; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Klau Borchert of Montclair, N.J.; grandchil- dren, Michael and Samuel Borofsky, Robin Borchert and sister, Bess Lerner of Bethesda, Md.
