OW ADVANCED IS OUR CANCER CARE ?

YOU'RE LOOKING AT ONE OF OUR RECOVERY ROOMS.

-

At the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, we believe progress is

best measured on the golf course. Or, for that matter, wherever people

with cancer continue to lead normal lives. The Institute (which includes

the former Michigan Cancer Foundation) is driven by a fifty-year-old

commitment to provide the very best in cancer care and research. So it's

no coincidence that more people are surviving cancer than ever before. In

fact, our diagnosis and treatment programs, provided through_ Harper

Hospital and the - rest • of Thd Detrdit . MediCal Center,- are achieving

results that would have been unheard 'of just 'a :few years back.

Even more encouraging is the promise held in our research programs::

Through a unique partnershipvith Wayne State Univetsity, our researchers

are gaining ground in the fight against cancer every' day. All of which.

'

means, no matter where you look, you'll find more cancer patients doing

something remarkable. Enjoying life.
