judge released an imprisoned
Palestinian man who has been on
a hunger strike since February
after refusing to testify about
Hamas fund-raising activities in
the United States.
The judge ruled that
Abdelhaleem Ashkar, who was nor
a target of the fund-raising probe,
was not likely to testify and that
any further imprisonment would
"simply amount to punishment.
