Lindsey Weberman
Lindsey Weberman, daughter of
Cheryl and Aron Weberman, will be
called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah
at Congregation
B'nai Moshe on Sat-
urday, Aug. 29.
Sharing in this
celebration are sib-
lings, Brian, Rachel
and Eric. She is the
granddaughter of
Freda Weberman
and the late Leo
Weberman, Linda and Benjamin
Wenson, and the great-granddaugh-
ter of Mrs. Mary Schoenfeld.
Lindsey attends Warner Middle
School where she is an honor roll
student, a violinist in the school
orchestra and a member of the
Dynamites dance group.
For her mitzvot, she helped out in
the lower grades at B'nai Moshe's
Life Program, took part in family
High Holy Day services and has vol-
unteered weekly at Menorah House.

Steven Schwartz
Steven Schwartz of West Bloomfield
will become a bar mitzvah at Con-
gregation Shaarey Zedek B'nai Israel
on Saturday, Aug.
29. His sister Karen
will participate in
the ceremony.
Proud grandparents
are Pauline and
Harry Schwartz of
Farmington Hills
and Sidney Schul-
man of Kenmore,
N.Y. Steven is the son of Gail and
Jerry Schwartz.
He is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School and is interested in
hockey, soccer, saxophone and corn-
puters. Steven volunteered at Yad .
Ezra for his mitzvah project.

Laura Bank
Laura Gayle Bank became a bat
mitzvah at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek on Aug. 22. She is the daugh-
ter of Geri Bank
and Stuart Bank
and is the grand-
daughter of Marilyn
and Dr. Howard
Feigelson and
Shirley and George
Bank.
Laura is a
straight-A student
at O.E. Dunckel Middle School and

is interested in dance and music. Sh
worked with the Daniel Sobel
Friendship Circle for her mitzvah
project. An additional project will be
the donation of toys to less fortunate
children.

Sarah Lesser
Sarah Ann Lesser will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Satur-
day, Aug. 29, at Temple Kol Ami.
She is the daughter
of Sheryl and Jeffrey
Lesser, sister of
Rachel and Zoe,
and granddaughter
of Elaine and Mor-
ton Lesser and
Adele and Harold
Samuels.
Sarah Ann is an
honor student at O.E. Dunckel Mid-
dle School. She enjoys reading,
singing, drawing, playing tennis,
socializing and attending Camps
Tamarack and Michigania every
summer.
Sarah Ann's Mitzvah projects have
included making quilts for AIDS
babies, helping in Mrs. Frank's third ino
grade classroom at Woodcreek Ele-
mentary School and visiting senior
citizens at Hamilton Place.

Emily Blake
Emily Rachel Blake of Huntington
Woods will become bat mitzvah at
Temple Emanu-El on Friday, Aug.
28. She is the
daughter of Nancy
and Daniel Blake
and sister of Jessica
and Samuel. Proud
grandparents are
Marvin Blake, Rose
and Jack Dendel,
Beverly Levine and
Alvin Levine.
Emily is an
honor student at Norup Middle
School. She enjoys tennis, skiing,
playing clarinet, dancing and being
with her friends. Emily's mitzvah
project included working with chil-
dren at Temple Emanu-El Day
Camp.
