Swiss Insurer
Signs Agreement

New York (JTA) — Switzerland's
largest insurance company said it
has signed a memorandum of
understanding with U.S. regula-
tors to establish a committee to
find and compensate Holocaust
survivors and their heirs for poli-
cies dating back to World War II.
The move by Zurich Allied
came in the wake of the $1.25 bil-
lion settlement between
Holocaust survivors and Swiss
banks. That settlement excluded
Swiss insurers, which face hun-
dreds of millions of dollars in
claims.

Hitler Painting
Is Found

New York (JTA) — Police in
Spain recovered a painting done
by Hitler. Women in Blue, which
was stolen last April, was found
along with three other paintings
by other artists.

Neo-Nazis Rally
In Denmark

New York (JTA) — Danish and
German police arrested dozens of
people who demonstrated in
cities across their respective
countries in honor of one of
Hitler's deputies.
Neo-Nazis from Germany and
Sweden had crossed into
Denmark for the rallies in honor
of the 11 th anniversary of the
death of Rudolf Hess. Denmark
has one of Europe's most liberal
demonstration laws.

Jerusalem (JTA) — An Israeli dis-
trict court is slated to hear an
appeal from the man convicted of
leaking Israel's nuclear secrets to a
London newspaper.
Mordechai Vanunu, who will
appeal for release on grounds of
good behavior, was released from
solitary confinement earlier this
year. He has served 12 years of his
18 - year sentence.
