RUTH "TOOTSIE" SINGER- MAN, 91, of Southfield, died Aug. 20. Ms. Singerman was a secretary for Michigan Bell. She was a veteran of World War II and received a letter from the president commending her efforts, was on Nuremberg War Crimes Investigation Committee and received a Good Conduct Medal, the Meritorious Service Plaque, Ameri- can Theater Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. Ms. Singerman was also active with the Jewish War Veterans, Hadassah, League of Jewish Women and the Hurtzel Institute of New York. She is survived by her sisters, Eve- lyn Anchill of Southfield, Mary Singerman; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Shirley Singerman of Las Vegas; nieces and nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews and great- great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Ms. Singerman was the dear sister of the late Morrie, the late Phil and the late Paul Singerman and the late Henry "Honey" August. Interment at Workmen's Circle Cemetery. He was a 1959 graduate of the Detroit Dental School and an undergraduate at the Universi- ty of Michigan. Dr. Wiser was a mem- ber of the American Dental Associa- tion, Michigan Dental Association and a past president of the Southfield Lions Club.
