Annette Meskin of West Bloomfield is
a member of the national board of
Hadassah, a
national associate,
and a former
national vice pres-
ident. She serves
as national
recording secre-
tary, as national
chairman of the
co-op coordina-
tors. In addition,
Annette Meskin
she is a member
of the Blue
Ribbon Commission, the Hadassah
Leadership Academy, the Membership
Planning Cluster (I) in the National
Membership Division, and is a mentor
to Young Leaders.

Jenna Hirschman of Southfield and a
1998 graduate of the Roeper School,
was recently announced as runner-up in
the Louise Mooney Collins Creative
Writing Scholarship. She will attend the

B'nai B'rith
Family Event

B'nai B'rith Great Lakes Region has
upper deck box seats near the right
field line and visitor's bullpen and
upper deck reserved seats near third
base in "foul ball" territory available

they host their 20th annual B'nai
B'rith Family Event at Tiger Stadium.

Aids Campaign

Contributors to the 1999 Allied
Jewish Campaign will be able to dou-
ble their mitzvah of giving, thanks to
the Nancy and
James Grosfeld
Campaign
Challenge Fund.
The Grosfelds
established the
matching fund to
support the
Campaign.
Donors who
increase their gifts The Grosfelds
over last year will
see their increase matched dollar per
dollar by the Grosfeld Campaign
Challenge Fund. First-time contribu-
tors will have their entire gift doubled,
making more funds available to fund
vital programs and services.
Mr. Grosfeld is a member of the
planning committee of the national
commission of the Anti-Defamation
League of B'nai B'rith, a member of
the United Jewish Foundation invest-
ment committee, a trustee of
Children's Hospital and a member of
Temple Beth El.
Mrs. Grosfeld has served on various
committees and the board of the
Federation Women's Campaign and
Education Department and chairs the
women's Ruby Campaign division.
She is the previous chair of the
women's Lion of Judah division. She
also served on the board of the UJF
Maple/Drake Land Development
Committee..

Governor Speaks
At Dedication

Sara Tugman Bais Chabad Torah
Center will celebrate the completion
of its expansion and renovation, and
the remodeling of the West
Bloomfield community mikvah, with
a Chanukas HaBayis-Dedication on
the weekend of Sept. 11-13.
The main program will take place 2
p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Torah
Center, 5595 West Maple Road, and
will include greetings by Governor
John Engler, and an address by Rabbi
Moshe Kotlarsky, executive director of
Lubavitch Outreach International.
The Torah Center will honor the
late Sara Tugman and also Sam and
Sara Green, Eli and Phyllis Rashly,
and Alex and Sara Skoczylas, who
