ALICE KAUFMAN, 84, of Oak Park,
died Aug. 13. Mrs. Kaufman was a
member of B'nai B'rith, the Jewish
Welfare Federation and the National
Council of Jewish Women.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Patty and Terry O'Connor
of Southfield; brothers and sister-in-
• law, Joe and Lois Katz of Shaker
Heights, Ohio; Sidney Katz of
Detroit. She was the beloved wife of
the late William Kaufman.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memori-

GERALD KOHN, 72, of Boca
Raton, Fla., died Aug. 13. Mr. Kohn
was a wholesale tobacco office worker.
He is survived by his brother and
sister-in-law, Gilbert and Sharon
Kohn. Interment at Machpelah Ceme-

the National Parkinson's Foundation.

DR. LAWRENCE LANDE, 91, of
Montreal, died Aug. 11.
He is survived by his daughter and
son-in-law, Denny and Moe Brown of
West Bloomfield; son and daughter-
in-law, Nelson and Mayde Lande of
Brookline, Mass.; grandchildren, Ricki
and Aaron Zitmer of Washington,
D.C.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-
law, Jewell and Lester Morris of
Bloomfield Hills; Beverly Wagner of
Bloomfield Hills; Barbara and Marvin
Frenkel of Huntington Woods. He
was the beloved husband of the late
Helen Vera Prentis Lande. Interment
in Montreal. Contributions may be

THEODOR LEVY, 91, of Holly-
wood, Fla., formerly of Detroit, died
Aug. 17. Mr. Levy was a film distribu-
tor executive. He was a charter mem-
ber of the Variety Club of Detroit, a
past president of the Variety Club of
Florida, a past master of Hallandale
Lodge of B'nai B'rith, a past board
member of the Footlighters and past
president of the Motion Picture Pio-
neers of Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Idabell
Levy; son and daughter-in-law,
Richard and Mellanie Varkle of
Bloomfield Hills; daughters and son-
in-law, Linda and Milton Dresner of
Birmingham; Patricia Roth of New
York; grandchildren, Mark and Reena
Lewis, Steven Lewis and fiancee Jen-
nifer Murawski, Margo and Barry
Weinbaum, Amy Sklar, Carolyn
Naiman, Joey Varkle, Matthew
Naiman and fiancee Ashley Phillips,
Julie and Randall Hartune, Robert
and Susan Dresner, Maryann Dresner,
Jane and Ned Sadaka; 10 great-grand-

JEROME LIPMAN, 65, of South-
field, died Aug. 12.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene
Lipman; son and daughter-in-law,
Blake and Beth Lipman of Farming-
ton Hills; daughter, Stephanie Lipman
of Southfield; granddaughter, Arielle
Sarah Lipman; nieces and nephews.
He was the loving son of the late Saul
and Mollie Lipman; brother of the
late Frances Borson; son-in-law of the
late Saul and Sarah Cohen.
