On Campus:
Another facility that is movinc, is
Eastern Michigan University b Hillel
in Ypsilanti, which is headed for
roomy quarters this fall. After inhab-
iting a small office space in a campus
building for the past few years, the
Jewish student organization is relocat-
ing to a rental house across the street
from EMU's McKenney Student
Union. The new digs feature lounge
and meeting space, along with an
office area.

Michigan State University Hillel is
coordinating a community wide
-
event designed to unite students,
administration and the City of East
Lansing in the aftermath of clashes
last May between students and the
police. The "Saucy Vibrations Con-
cert," scheduled for Aug. 30, will fea-
ture live bands and community panel
discussions. "We're hoping it will
bring the community back together,"
said Saul Korin, Hillel's program
director. Other groups involved
include the City of East Lansing,
University Student Council and
Michigan State University administra-
tion.
University of Michigan Hillel is
changing its board structure to make
campus Jewish life more accessible for
students not active in specific Hillel
organizations. Under the new struc-
ture, there will be eight student com-
mittees, including Shabbat and holi-
days, arts and culture and social
action.
