A Permanent Home For PuppetArt
The Detroit Puppet Theater holds its opening performance for families and
the community in its new downtown location with a presentation of The Fire-
bird, a rod puppet show based on an old Russian folktale. PuppetArt's four
troupe members, Igor Gozman, Irena Baronovskaya, Lyudmila Mikheyenko and
Natalia Khousid, were all educated in theater arts in the former Soviet Union
and will hold performances every Saturday afternoon. $6.50 adults/$5 children.

Motown Uptown
Memories of the '50s and '60s come alive when Streetcorner entertains at the
Neighborhood Project Southfield Summer Concert, co-sponsored by the city of
Southfield and the Detroit Jewish News. The five-piece band and vocal group will
play rock 'n' roll oldies and the sounds of Motown. In case of rain, the concert
