Annual Meeting
Of Survivors
The Federation of Jewish Child
Survivors of the Holocaust, comprised
of Jewish individuals who survived the
Holocaust in Europe, will hold its
11th annual conference Friday-
Sundays Oct. 16-19 in the
Washington area.
The goal is to provide support,
share information and keep the mem-
ory of the Holocaust alive. In addition
to these survivors, the children of sur-
vivors will be involved.
Program and activities during the
conference include: workshops on var-
ious topics, speakers, seminars, panel
discussions, art/books/video exhibits,
meals with evening entertainment.

3,500 Years of Jewish Celebrities" will
be the theme of the Jewish Federation
Avenues event 7 p.m. Wednesday,
Sept. 9, in the Farmington home of
Cathy and Rick Rosenhaus.
Guest speakers will be columnist
Jeff Zaslow and Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses' Rabbi Aaron Bergman.
Zaslow writes an advice column for
the Chicago Sun-Times and a celebri-
ty column in USA Weekend maga-
zine. Rabbi Bergman is a former
Hillel Day School teacher.
Admission is free, and refreshments
will be served.
