Ska Sounds S ax player and flutist Fred Reiter sometimes thinks of the hora when he plays ska, the Jamaican music that evolved into reggae and early rock and carries strains of R&B and swing. Reiter's group, the six-member New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble, thinks of itself as a dance band and brings its beat to the Magic Bag for the second time at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13. The group, which also has per- formed at other Michigan clubs, has just returned from its second Euro- pean tour.
