Bravo Beethoven!
One of the premier violinists of his generation, Mark Kaplan is the featured
soloist in an all-Beethoven concert by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra under

Concours D'Elegance
This year's Meadow Brook Hall Concours d'Elegance salutes Chrysler, with a
presentation of the most significant Chrysler automobiles in the company's his-
tory, and the German sports car favorite, Porsche, on its 50th anniversary. An
additional 250 vintage, classic, sports, racing and '50s cars representing makes
and eras from around the world will decorate the green hills surrounding Mead-

Yiddish Concert In The Park
This year's Yiddish Concert in the Park honors Israel's 50th anniversary and
features singer/guitarist Mark Levy performing "Songs of Our Forebears." Levy
has been performing his own special blend of traditional Jewish and internation-
al folk songs and original satire throughout the United States, Europe and Israel
for over two decades. The free concert will be held in Shepherd Park, Church
and Northfield, in Oak Park, and is sponsored by Workmen's Cirde/Arbeter
Ring, Sholem Aleichem Institute, the Rosen-Gold Philanthropic Fund and The
