AND THE GARDEN

As American Friends of The Hebrew University we view

the University as a Garden of Wisdom, a place that seeks

to discover the wisdom of the sciences and the arts, the

humanities and the law. Medicine is paramount here. So is

agriculture. So are Judaic studies.

That wisdom, over the past 75 years, has strengthened

Jerusalem, Israel, peace and people in the Middle East. It

touches the lives of Jewish communities around the world and

of all people and nations.

It is democratic wisdom, encouraging people to give and take

ideas and systems. It is also a costly wisdom. In - time. In

labor. In money. In short, the garden must be constantly

cultivated, supported.

It is also the work of the heart, for wisdom is always compas-

sionate. 'That's why, at The Hebrew University, the harvest is

shared with colleagues, with governments, with businesses,

with the world.

AND YOU

As you are our Friend or prospective Friend, we wish to be can-

did from the start. We need Friends — now — who can afford

to help support the work of the garden, support the work of

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, support wisdom.
