can potato salad is not to be found
anywhere hereabouts.
Taste of Israel makes its own falafel
and borekas (a mini knish) among
many other dishes ... Also its own
desserts like baklava, or Moroccan
shbekya, dough cooked in honey; and
rum balls, etc. ... Fancy desserts are
made by Ofer and John for Taste of
Israel's outside catering.
Its fresh fishes appear as specials ...
white fish, salmon, mahi-mahi and,
when available, fresh tuna steak ...
Biggest seller is the mahi-mahi.
Under supervision of the Council
of Orthodox Rabbis, the hours are ...
Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to
9 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sun-
day, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
There is much to say about want-
ing to do something and doing it ...
This is why Ofer has commanded
much respect ... He was determined to
have a kosher restaurant ... and that
visualization has not only reached
fruition, but given him a big step
toward even higher goals that weren't
included in his dreams ... Like that
200-seater this year.
THE HUNGER by many of
today's generation to know more
about restaurants of years back takes
numerous intensities.
A main one seems to be because
their parents have talked so much
about places they wished were still
around for their children to enjoy as
much as mom and dad did.
This is a major reason, along with
trips down memory lane for those
who remember, why from time to
time I reminisce ... It seems that
whenever the memories data appears,
phone calls and letters come asking for
more ... And so it shall be.
