Many of the five dozen young
Detroiters who just returned from the
fun-filled whirlwind UJA Israel singles
mission boarded a bus on June 25 for
a mystery evening of bonding before
they left for an Egged version of the
same fun.

After a festive meal at the Max M.
Fisher Federation Building in
Bloomfield Hills, they headed for the
Joe Dumars Field House in Utica. If
that night was representative of the
group's chemistry, they likely had a
ball in the Jewish state. The number
of Jewish young adults on the UJA
singles mission from Detroit this year
was a record high.

Right: Sit back and get ready for the ride of your
life. Uh, er, a trial ride, that is. The real thing
will be even better.
