'm not a big fan of comedies,
but I always liked the movie,
All of Me, with Steve Martin
and Lily Tomlin.
The first time I
saw it I laughed
hysterically — I
mean on the
floor, holding
my stomach —
at some of the
I scenes where
Martin and Tomlin occupy the
same body.
Sometimes, I feel like there's
another Elizabeth in my humble
form. No, I'M not a relic from The
Body Snatchers (well, I tell you
I'm not, but can you REALLY
believe me?). What I'm talking
about is Cranky Elizabeth, the
one who loses patience with her
children, especially late in the
evening and when I'm tired.
!Cranky Elizabeth is the one likely
1 to say, in a too-loud voice, "GET
TO BED NOW! I MEAN IT!"
The other day Cranky Elizabeth
1 had temporarily occupied my
body.
Yitzhak, 4-1/2, wanted a piece
of chocolate candy and I said no,
and he took a bite out of it any-
: way, defiantly, in front of my very

eyes.
I sent him to his room. "And
after you're done taking a penal-
ty, I want you to go downstairs
I and pick up the entire mess there.
' I MEAN IT!" (Obviously, my
1 favorite phrase).
After assuring me that he was
1 NOT going to his room, Yitzhak
indeed went there, of course.
Then he dragged himself down-
stairs to the playroom and kind of
I picked up — after I nagged him
100 times. •
About 10 minutes later, Normal
Elizabeth returned. In addition to
being patient with her children,
she is sane. In no time at all I
