the Institute for Retired Professionals,
a member of the Shakespeare Group
through IRP, the Sholom Aleichem
Institute and of Congregation B'nai
Moshe.
She is survived by her daughters
and sons-in-law, Rosalyn and Eugene
Katz of New York, Margaret and Joel
Shere of West Bloomfield, Irene and
Alex Kamaroff of New York, Saralee
and Robin Rund of Plymouth; grand-
children, David and Paul Katz, Jeremy
Shere and Barre Klapper, Daniel Shere
and fiancee, Rachel Lawson, Elizabeth
and Robbie Kamaroff, Lydia and Max
Rund; brother and sister-in-law,
Emanuel and Rose Murrow of New
York. Mrs. Goodman was the beloved
wife of the late Hyman Goldman; the
dear sister of the late Lillian Eichel.
Interment at New Montefiore
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to the Hospice of Southeastern Michi-
gan, 16250 Northland Drive, Suite
2121, Southfield, MI 48075, or the
Celia Goodman Memorial Fund, do
Detroit Story League, 30053 Spring
River, Southfield, MI 48076, attn:

WILLIAM J. GOODMAN, 76, for-
mer Detroiter of Orlando, Fla., died
June 25. At age 11 he immigrated
from Poland to Detroit. He graduated
from Central High School in 1939.
After serving five years in World War
II, he became a land developer and
builder in communities in the Detroit
area. He retired to Orlando in 1957
where he was a supporter of the Cen-
tral Florida Federation, Family Ser-
vices, AIPAC, B'nai Kith, United
Way, United Arts. He was one of the
founders of the Jewish Community
Center and the Hebrew Day School.
Mr. Goodman was a major supporter
of the Holocaust Museum in Washing-
ton, D.C., where an entire room
depicts his birthplace, Eisiskes, before
the Holocaust.
He is survived by his loving wife of
52 years, Gloria; children, Barry,
Michael and Nancy Goodman, Lauren
and Harry Jacobs; grandchildren,
Nicole and Art Filip, Jessica and Jill
Jacobs, Josh, Robbie, Melissa and
Michelle Goodman; great-grandchild,
Matthew Filip, all of Longwood, Fla.;
sister, Connie Cohn of Tuscon, Ariz;
brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray
Zimmerman, Dick and Roz Sitron of
Orlando. He was the loving brother of
