Elects Board

Mark A. Goldsmith was installed as
president of Congregation Beth
Shalom in Oak Park during synagogue
services.
Goldsmith is a
former chairman
of the executive
committee of the
young adult divi-
sion of the Jewish
Federation of
Metropolitan
Detroit. He
Mark Goldsmith
served on the
Federation's
Leadership Development Committee,
the Cultural and Group Services
Budgeting Division and the
International Affairs Committee. He is
a past member of the Michigan
Regional Advisory Board of Directors
of the Anti-Defamation League of
B'nai B'rith.
The following officers also were
elected for the 1998-99 year: Sharon
Alterman, executive vice president;
Elizabeth R. Schubiner, first vice presi-
dent; Dr. David Kirsch, second vice
president; Anaruth Bernard, third vice
president; Steven A. Levine, treasurer;
Charles Gorden, secretary.
The elected trustees are Susan
Dones, Mark J. Littman, Richard
Minkin, Lenny Newman, Richard
Polk, Diane Wertheimer and Andrew
Zack. Art Langer is the immediate
past president and member of the
executive board.
