LOUIS BEN BERMAN, 69, of Oak
Park, died June 28. Mr. Berman was a
pharmaceutical manufacturers repre-
sentative. He was also an Army veteran
who served in the Korean Conflict,
was active with the Jewish War Veter-
ans and the Oak Park Kiwanis.
He is survived by his brother,
Bernard Berman of Vero Beach, Fla.; a
niece, Brooke. He was the loving son
f the late Joseph and the late Rose
Berman; the dear brother of the late
Harvey Berman.
Interment at Beth Isaac Cemetery.

UBA BUDNITSKAYA, 72, of Oak

Park, died June 25.
She is survived by her brother and
sister-in-law, Grigoriy and Svetlana
Budnitsky of Southfield; nieces and
nephews; grandnieces and grand-
nephews.

Hebrew Memorial Park. Services and

TILLIE ESKIN, 88, of Southfield,

died June 29.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Morton and Barbara
Eskin of West Bloomfield, Jerry and
Judy Eskin of Windsor, Ontario;
randchildren, Marcie (Ethan) Gold-
stein, Jon Eskin, Deborah Eskin, Joy
(Michael) Moskovic and Nancy Eskin;
great-grandchild, Joshua; many loving
nieces. She was the beloved wife of the
late Harry Eskin.
Graveside services were held at
Nusach Hari Cemetery in Ferndale.
Contributions may be made to Hillel
Day School or a charity of one's
hoice. Arrangements by Dorfman
uneral Direction.

IRVING L. FIELD, former Detroiter
of San Diego, died June 28.
He is survived by his wife, Bebe;
children, Bonnie (Dr. Abraham)
Romanowsky, Dr. Philip Field, Carole
Field; grandchildren, Jonathon
(Mindie) Romanowsky and Diana
omanowsky; brother, Elliott Field;
sister, Shirley Radin.
Interment in San Diego.

RONA FREEDLAND, 57, of Bloom-

field Hills, died June 28. Mrs. Freed-
land was an executive committee and
board member of Hillel Day School,

the first female member of Knollwood
Country Club, a member of Adat
Shalom Synagogue, a member of
Chaine DeLes Rotisseurs, life member
of Hadassah and of the National
Council of Jewish Women. She was
also a member of the Presidents Club
of the University of Michigan where
her four children were educated, a
member of the Philanthropic Fund at
the Jewish Federation and a member of
the Sinai Hospital Women's Guild.
She is survived by her daughters
and son-in-law, Karen and James Berg-
er of West Bloomfield, Amy Freedland
of Washington, D.C., Marcia Freed-
land of Chicago; son, Stuart Freedland
of Chicago; grandchildren, Hallie,
Joshua and Jaclyn Berger; sister and
brother-in-law, Joan and Allan Zager
of Southfield; brother, Ira Lawson of
Los Angeles. She was the beloved wife
of the late Herbert Freedland; the lov-
ing daughter of the late Louis and the
late Irene Lawson.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memori-
al Park. Contributions may be made to
the Rona and Herbert Freedland
Endowment Fund at Hillel Day
School, 32200 Middlebelt Road,
Farmington Hills, MI 48334. Arrange-
ments by the Ira Kaufman Chapel.

CHARLES M. GARVETT, 77, of

Bloomfield Hills, died June 25. Mr.
Garvett was a licensed residential
builder. He was also an Army Air
Corps staff sergeant during World War

II.

He is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Robert and Michelle
Garvett of Orchard Lake; grandson,
Michael Garvett. Interment at Beth El
Memorial Park. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one's choice.

JOSEPH GITTLEMAN, 69, of Oak

Park, died June 27.
He is survived by his wife, Adele
Gittleman; son and daughter-in-law,
Zalman and Devorah Gittleman of
Jerusalem, Israel; daughters and sons-
in-law, Marcia and Ephraim Apple-
baum of Thornhill, Ontario, Canada,
Susan and Tzvi Goldberg of Brooklyn,
N.Y., Mara and Binyomin Sanders of
Silver Springs, Md.; numerous grand-
children; two great-grandchildren.
