In addition to celebrating Israel's 50th anniversary, other noteworthy performances include All Our Yesterdays, a performance of the Hamburg Ballet set to the music of ustav Mahler; Romeo and Juliet, per- formed by the Stuttgart Ballet; The Peony Pavilion, an opera directed by Chen Shi-Zheng and performed by the musicians and actors of the Shanghai Kunju Opera Company; Patience e– Sarah, a fully staged folk opera set in the 19th century about two women who fall in love; a Lincoln Center Theater production of "Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, directed by Nicholas Hytner; Faust 3.0, a deconstruction of Goethe's universal tale performed by La Fura dels Baus, an avant garde theater group from Barcelona; and the New York Video Festival. ❑ G The following individuals have been appointed by President Robert H.
