BESSIE BATIST, 92, of Montreal,
died June 11. Mrs. Batist was the edi-
tor of A Treasure For My Daughter pub-
lished in 1950.
She is survived by her daughters and
sons-in-law, Rhoda and Abram Medow
of Beverly Hills, Nancy and Irving
Gutterman of Montreal; grandchildren,
Heidi Baruch and Pablo Michalewicz,
Dana Baruch and Michael Krell, David
and Deena Baruch, Susan and Jeff
Blackmer, Joanie Gutterman, Ellen
Gutterman, Lynn Medow and David
Vercammen, Daniel and Miriam
Medow; great-grandchildren, Jacob and
Noah Krell, Avishai and Tali Baruch,
Michael, Jon and Zachary Medow,
Emily and J.J. Vercammen; sister and
brother-in-law, Claire and Jack Wasser
of Montreal. She was the beloved wife
of the late Joseph Batist; the dear sister
of the late Robert Wittenberg, the late
Anne Goldstein and the late Frayda
Wittenberg.

GERTRUDE FEULNER BAYLES, of
North Miami Beach, Fla., died June 7.
Mrs. Bayles was a life member of
Hadassah, Hannah Senesh Chapter of
Florida, and Temple Beth Moshe.
She is survived by her dearest step-
daughter and step-son, Lee and Hubert
B. Stern of Cleveland, Ohio; daughter-
in-law Helen Bayles of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren Dr. Kenneth S.
and Shirley Bayles, Dr. Jeffrey S. and
Dr. Arles Stern and Sharon and Dr.
Gary Oppenheim; brother Charles
Bernstein of California; several nieces
and nephews. Mrs. Bayles was prede-
. ceased by two loving husbands, Harry
Feulner and Dr. Clarence R. Bayles and
a dear step-son Dr. Richard Bayles.
Graveside services were held at Mt.
Nebo Cemetery in Miami. Arrange-
ments by Riverside-Gordon Memorial
Chapels in North Miami Beach.

ERIC BINDER, 50, of Southfield,
died June 17.
He is survived by his wife, Tamara
Binder; mother, Meri Yolf of Oak
Park; daughters, Lana Binder of South-
field, Galena Binder of Southfield; sis-
ter and brother-in-law, Elena and Efim
Feldman of Southfield.

CARL CANTOR, 83, of Ann Arbor,
died June 2. Mr. Cantor was an execu- 40
tive at Custom Peddler. He was also a
member of the Israel Cantor Family
Society.
He is survived by his wife, Zelda

bara Cantor Paglione and John
Paglione of Ann Arbor; son and -
daughter-in-law, Philip and Miriam
Cantor of Los Angeles; grandchildren, 64
Libby Paglione, Elizabeth Cantor; sis-
ters and brother-in-law, Edith and Jack
Brown of New Jersey and Irene Bilus
of New Jersey. He was the dear brother
of the late Norma Lang.

EDWARD LOUIS HARMAN, 62, of
Southfield, died June 15.
He is survived by his daughters and
sons-in-law, Lori and Jim Aubuchon of
Cape Coral, Fla., Lisa and Dan Jacobs
of West Bloomfield; sister and brother-
in-law, Linda and Larry Cohen of
White Lake; grandchildren, Elizabeth
and Mark Aubuchon. He was the
beloved father of the late Jay Fiarman.

Cemetery Chapel in Ferndale followed
by interment in the cemetery. Contri-

SHIRLEY GOLD, 70, of West
Bloomfield, died June 22.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Les and Lili Gold of
Bloomfield Hills; daughter, Marni
Sklar of Farmington Hills; sister,
Dorothy Pianka of New Jersey; grand-
children, Ashley Gold, Seth Gold,
Lindsay Sklar, Heather Sklar, Jared
Sklar; nieces and nephews. She was the
loving daughter of the late Sam and
Katy Rubin; loving sister of the late 1111
Victor Rubin, the late Blanche Stern.

IRVING GOLDMAN, 92, of South-
field, died June 22. Mr. Goldman was
a pharmacist. He was a Mason, Shriner
and a member of the Michigan Phar-
maceutical Association and Congrega-
