My wife and I have just returned
to our home in the Tel Aviv area
from a marvelous long weekend in
Rosh Pina, and we are look forward
to our next sojourn in that Galilee
Shangri-la. We only hope that it
remains untouched by the "progress"
that has turned most of central
Israel into a noisy and noisome con-
crete jungle. ❑

Andover Soccer
Pair Honored

Andover sophomore sweeper Lind-
sey Fox and senior forward Allison
Surowitz earned recognition for
their outstanding play this season.
Fox was named to the Division II
All-District team and Surowitz was
named All-Area and Honorable
Mention All-State.
Fox scored four goals this season
and anchored the defense that led
the Barons to a 9-3 record and a
second-place finish in Division III
of the Oakland Activities Associa-
tion.
Surowitz scored 28 goals and fin-
ished with 58 for her career.

All-League Team

West Bloomfield High School base-

ball players Josh Gad-Harf and
Ryan Kravitz were named to the
Oakland Activities Association Divi-
sion II All-League team.

Gad-Harf had a .400 batting
average with three home runs and a
school record 38 runs batted in.
Kravitz hit .329 and had 16 RBIs
while excellinc, as a defensive catch-
e r.
