School, Andrea enjoys skiing, tennis,
roller-blading and ice skating.

Zachary Lipson
Zachary Daniel Lipson will be called
to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Sat-
urday, June 20. He is the son of Joni
and Ronald Lip-
son, brother of
Ross and grand-
child of Rosalie
Lipson and
Lenore and Joe
Silver. He is also
the grandson of
the late Larry
Lipson and the
lateJack Freed.
Proudgreat-grandmother is Rose
Bresler.
His most meaningful mitzvah pro-
jects involved working at the Ameri-
can Cancer Society and donating to
the Karmanos Cancer Center in mem-
ory of his grandfathers. Zachary is an
honor student at Abbott Middle
School, where he plays trombone in
the school jazz band, and is interested
in soccer, hockey, snowboarding and
the computer.

Beth Leeb
Beth Miriam Leeb will observe her bat
mitzvah at Temple Israel on Saturday,
June 20. She is the
daughter of Rose-
mary and Gregg
Leeb and sister of
Stephanie and
Daniel. Proud
grandparents are
Lucille and Ben
Leeb. She is also
the grandchild of
the late Genevieve
and Julian Wolak.
A student at East Middle School,
Beth plays the clarinet and enjoys
music, softball, running and swim-
ming. Mitzvah projects included assist-
ing senior citizens, volunteering at the
Temple Israel picnic and donating to
the Holocaust Memorial Center.

Carley Sirlin
Carley Annette Sirlin will become a bat <
mitzvah on Saturday, June 20, at Con-
gregation Shan rey Zedek-B'nai Israel
Center. Carley is
the daughter of
Valeri and Keith
Sirlin and older
sister of Alyssa.
Carley's proud
grandparents are
Esther and Leon
Sirlin and Julia
Murray. She is also
the granddaughter
of the late Annette Sirlin and Robert
Murray.
For her mitzvah projects, Carley was
a kindergarten assistant at Sharrey
Zedek Hebrew School and volunteered
for Yad Ezra. Carley attends Hillel Day
School and enjoys tennis, volleyball and
basketball.
Carley also celebrated her bat mitz-
vah in Israel with her family last
December.

Eli Sussman
Eli Avadenka Sussman will celebrate his
bar mitzvah on Saturday, June 20, at
Congregation B'nai Moshe. Eli is the
son of Lynne
Avadenka and
Marc Sussman and
the brother of
Max. He is the
grandson of Judge
Edward Avadenka
and Beverly
Avadenka, Claire
Sussman and the
late Max Sussman.
Eli is an honor student at Hillel Day
School. He enjoys watching movies,
playing basketball and spending time
with friends. Eli will ask guests at his
bar mitzvah to make a contribution to
JARC, Yad Ezra, COTS or any other
charity.

Michael Oppenheim
Michael Brandon Oppenheim celebrat-
ed his bar mitzvah on Saturday, June
13, at Congregation Beth Abraham Hil-
lel Moses.
Michael is the
son of Dena and
Robert Oppen-

brother of
