Caryn Lubetsky of West Bloomfield, a
graduate student at the University of
Missouri-Columbia, was presented the
Walter Scott Monroe Research Fellow-
ship at the MU College of Education's
Graduate Scholarship and Recognition
Ceremony earlier this spring. Lubetsky,
a counseling psychology student, is
involved with A Way With Words Lit-
eracy Program, Wakonse Service Learn-
ing Center at MU and the University of
Michigan Alumni Association. She is a
member of Psi Chi, Phi Beta Kappa,
Phi Kappa Phi and the Golden Key
National Honor Society. She earned a
bachelor's degree in psychology and
women's studies from the University of
Michigan-Ann Arbor.

Jason Brett Lichten of Bloomfield

Hills was one of 224 graduates who
received a bachelor of medicine degree
at the 174th commencement of Jeffer-
son Medical College, Thomas Jeffer-
son University, in Philadelphia. Fol-
lowing graduation, Dr. Lichten will
begin a residency in surgery at Beth
Israel Medical Center in New York,
N.Y.

Keshet Plans
Family Picnic
JARC's Keshet Family Support Pro-
gram and the Kahn Jewish Communi-
ty Center will host the second annual
family picnic 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday,
June 28, at the JCC. The swimming
pool will be available from 1 p.m. to 4
p.m. Bring a picnic lunch and swim
gear.
