Congregation Shaarey Zedek B'nai
Israel in West Bloomfield continues its
50-year tradition of providing a full
kiddush luncheon after each Sabbath
service throughout the year. All are
welcome to attend.

Adat Shalom
Installs Officers

Terran Leemis will become the new
president of Adat Shalom Synagogue 6
p.m. Friday, June 19, as the congrega-
tion installs its
1998-99 officers
and members of
the board of
trustees.
She was elected
to Adat Shalom's
Board of Trustees
in 1982 and
joined the execu-
tive committee in
Terran Leemis
1992, first as trea-
surer and then as a vice president for
the past four years. Leemis has also
served the Detroit Jewish community
in numerous capacities. She has been
president of the Greater Detroit Sec-
tion, National Council of Jewish
Women and has sat on the NCJW
National Board since 1992. She is
serving on the boards of Jewish Family
Service, the Ramah Commission of
Canada, and the Women's Division of
Israel Bonds. Leemis sits on the board
of governors of the Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit.
Also elected to serve Adat Shalom for
the coming year are: first vice president,
Beverly Liss; first vice president, Tobi
Fox; vice president, Larry Wolfe; record-
ing secretary, Paul Magy; and treasurer,
David Schostak. Michael Galls and
Allan Nachman will serve as executive
committee members at large.
Newly elected members of the
Board of Trustees are Lori Issner, Sam
Holcman and Brad Wasserman. Joel
Gershenson, Nancy Handelman,
Roger Leemis and Neal Zalenko have
been elected to serve on the syna-
gogue's Memorial Park Board.
Dinner and the installation ceremo-
ny will follow services.
