Cantor David Gutman leads a weekly
Oneg Shabbat every Friday at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish Commu-
nity Center. The program starts at
12:45 p.m. and lasts until 1:30 p.m.
Cantor Gutman sings Shabbat and
,
\--7iddish tunes with explanations and
interpretations and leads a sing-a-long.
There is no charge.

The Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish Com-
munity Center will host a sing-a-long
with Piano Lady Wendy Rollins, who
will take you back to years gone by 1
p.m. Thursday, June 18. There is no
charge.
The JPM annual volunteer luncheon
is slated for noon Friday, June 19. The
Center will honor all volunteers from
July '97 through June '98 with a lun-
cheon and entertainment. For informa-

Bingo will be held at 12:30 p.m.
Monday, June 22, with caller Howard
Guttman. There is a small donation.
The Yiddish Culture Club will be
held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23: lec-
tures, poetry and songs facilitated by
Chaim Rosenthal. There is no charge.
Pianist David Syme will appear at
7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Rothstein
Park in the first of Oak Park's Summer
Concert Series. This program is free of
charge. Please bring a blanket.
The Wednesday Afternoon Social
meets weekly at 1 p.m. Broadway show
tunes and Yiddish melodies are present-
ed by a talented troupe of local enter-
tainers. Refreshments will be served.
There is a nominal charge for this
event. Additional volunteer entertainers
are being sought.
Individuals interested in creative
writing are invited to attend the Writer's
Corner at 10 a.m. the third Friday of
each month. This group is facilitated by
Wayne State University Professor
Norma Goldman. For information call
