like Sills, Nederlander-Case is
hardly an overnight success. After
earning a bachelor of science in
economics and political science at
U-M and working in investment
banking, she received an MBA at
Columbia University. But as a
member of Detroit's prominent
theater family, she had a passion
for musicals and dramatic plays,
and decided to pursue a career in
the theater, behind-the-scenes
rather than on stage.
She produced Nunsense in Los
Angeles and San Francisco; Family
Secrets, the longest-running one-
person show in Off-Broadway his-
tory; and. Full Gallop, a play a_bout
fashion editor Diana Vreeland.

award or not, Nederlander says she

back to the stage.
"What's especially important to
me is that we are able to bring the

"I am thrilled to be going

who went to the Tony Awards
some 10 years ago when the pro-
gram honored her brother-in-law.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world.
This is a project that [Amy] has
been proud of from the beginning,
and I couldn't be happier that she
was acknowledged. If she wins, of
course we will be totally excited,
but the fact that she is nominated
is truly exciting enough." ❑
