FREE Plans
For Shavuot
Friends of Refugees of Eastern Europe
will hold Shavuot services 9:30 a.m.
Sunday and Monday, May 31 and June
1, at the Jewish Community Center on
Ten Mile Road. A special Torah reading
of the Ten Commandments will be at
11 a.m.
Highlighting the Torah reading will
be a Hebrew-naming ceremony for girls
from New American families attending
FREE Hebrew school. Each girl's father
will be called up to the Torah to give his
daughter a Jewish or Hebrew name.
There will be a children's program
and a dairy kiddush following the ser-
vices.
In keeping with the custom to stay
up the entire night of Shavuot eve to
study Torah, FREE has arranged study
sessions from midnight to 4 a.m., at
Congregation Dovid Ben Nuchim.
The heart of Seniors 4 Seniors is
a staff dedicated to providing
friendship as well as quality service.
And with our com-
petitive rates, seniors
and their children
can afford the help
they need to main-
tain an independent
lifestyle in their
own homes.
