Bar/Bat Mitzvahs
at Temple Beth El. She is the daughter
of Guido and Connie Aidenbaum and
is the older sister of Whitney and Max.
She is the grand-
daughter of
Simon and Rose
Aidenbaum and
Constance Shoup.
She is also the
granddaughter of
the late Neil Dou-
glas Shoup.
Ashley is a stu-
dent at Orchard
Lake Middle School where, in addition
to receiving excellent grades, she is a
member of the orchestra. She has par-
ticipated in dramatic productions per-
formed by the school.
She is an active volunteer, participat-
ing in temple food and coat drives, the
Glazer School Library Project and her
temple chavurah's activities at the
Fleishman Residence and at COTS. She
is also a teacher's assistant at the temple
religious school on Sundays and helps
special needs students at her middle
school.
Randall Silver
Randall N. Silver, son of Debra and
Scott Silver, became a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, May 23, at Temple Emanu-
El. Randy is the grandson of Marilyn
and Robert Silver, Florence Holzman
and the late Robert Holzman.
Randy is a sixth grade student at
Berkshire Middle School in Birming-
ham. His favorite
activities include
Boy Scouts,
rollerblading, and
mountain biking.
Randy's mitzvah
project included
volunteering at
Apples and Honey,
the Purim Parcel
Project, the JARC
Chanukah Dinner,
and the Yom Kippur canned food drive.
He also was the recipient of the Youth
In Service Award, for outstanding com-
munity service, from Birmingham
Youth Assistance.
Blake Fridson
Blake Evan Fridson will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
May 30, at Congregation Beth Shalom.
He is the son of Cathy and Howard
Fridson and the brother of Nathan and
Russell. Proud grandparents are Jack
and Mariann Moore and Sam Barr. He
is also the grand-
son of the late Ber-
nice Barr and the
late Harry Fridson.
Blake is an
honor student at
Norup Middle
School. He plays
clarinet and saxo-
phone and enjoys
soccer and baseball. In the past year he
has visited residents at a JARC home
and at Menorah House.
Ashley Cooper
Ashley Cooper will lead the Temple
Emanu-El congregation in worship as a
bat mitzvah on Saturday, May 30.
Ashley is the daughter of Lynn and
Scott Cooper and sister of Matthew.
She is the granddaughter of Bernard

and Gladys Cooper and Gail and Ger-
ald Starler. Ashley is also the beloved
great-granddaugh-
ter of Renee Edel-
stein.
Ashley is a stu-
dent at Norup
Middle School,
where she is the
harpist in the
school orchestra.
She also enjoys
reading and listen-
ing to music.
Ashley's mitzvah project was working
in Temple Emanu-El's extended care
nursery program. She also spent time
with Ranya Kelley, Denver's Shoe Lady,
sorting shoes for the needy in the area. (-'
Stephanie Rosenbloom
Stephanie Leigh Rosenbloom will be
called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, June 6, at Temple Kol Ami.
She is the daughter
of June and Mar-
tin Rosenbloom,
the sister of Eric
and liana and the
granddaughter of
Hannah (Entus)
and Philip Lifton
and the late Essie
and Isadore (Itzie)
Rosenbloom and
the late Louis Entus.
The Warner Middle School seventh-
grade honor roll student enjoys intra-
mural floor hockey, swimming, cycling
and being with friends. Her mitzvah
projects included assisting in swim
classes at the Costick Activity Center,
building a sukkah for JARC and mak-
ing baby blankets at a temple mitzvah
day.
