JPI Students To Celebrate

A portion of the proceeds will be
donated to NOAM, the Conservative
Youth Movement in Israel

Creators et the Jewish-American Sound

Ten Jewish Parents Institute students will be b'nai mitzvah on Saturday, May
30.
All 10 have completed a course of study which combines a community-
related work project with a philosophical study of the Torah and Talmud.
They have completed at least 32 hours of community service, have read lit-
erature dealing with the rite of passage and have discussed current Jewish
values and issues.

Audra Wimberley
Audra Wimberley of Bloomfield Hills
will celebrate her bat mitzvah Satur-
day, May 30, as she participates in the
b'nai mitzvah ser-
vice of the Jewish
Parents Institute
at the Southfield
Centre for the
Arts.
A party in
Audra's honor will
be held following
services at the
Birmingham
Community House.
Audra is the daughter of Nadine
Marshall and the sister of Nissa Wim-
berley. She is the granddaughter of Iry
and Shirlee Marshall and the late Flo-
rence Marshall.
Audra is a student at Bloomfield
Hills Middle School, where she was a
member of the basketball team. She
also participates in choir and in the art
club.
Audra's mitzvah projects.included
adopting a needy family for Christmas
and packing and delivering care pack-
ages with the Jewish War Veterans.

Jodie Rosenbaum
Jodie Rosenbaum became bat mitzvah
at Temple Kol Ami on Friday, May
15. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and
Elizabeth Rosen-
baum and the sis-
ter of Hallie and
Jordan. Jodie's
proud grand-
mother is Pearl
Gorman. Jodie is
also the grand-
daughter of the
late Faye Rosen-
baum.
Jodie is a seventh-grade honor stu-
dent at Walled Lake Middle School.
She enjoys soccer, dance and AOL.
Among her mitzvah projects, Jodie
planted trees in Israel, helped learning
disabled students in her mom's class-
room, donated babysitting money to
the Cancer Foundation, and helped
young children who are speech
impaired.

Emily Meredith Weitz will celebrate
her bat mitzvah on Saturday, May 30,
at Temple Israel. She is the daughter
