SPACE For Changing Families is a
non-sectarian community service
project of National Council of Jew-
ish Women, Greater Detroit Section.
It will conduct Rainbows For All
Children, a 10-week divorce support
group for children from 5 to 16 and
their custodial parent, beginning
Wednesday, June 3, and continuing
until August 5.
This program provides a safe
atmosphere for children to meet in
age appropriate groups and express
and understand their feelings and
receive support regarding the changes
they are experiencing in their family
due to divorce or separation. At the
same time, the parents are in a Par-
ent Education Group, which is very
supportive of what the children are
discussing in their groups.
The program meets for 10 consecu-
tive weeks from 5:45 to 7 p.m. begin-
ning June 3, at the SPACE office,
26400 Lahser, Suite 100, Southfield,
Michigan 48034. The cost is $40 for
the first child and
$35 for each additional child.
This fee includes the Parent Education
Group. Scholarships are available.
Pre-registration is necessary. Call
SPACE, (248) 355-9936, for infor-
mation or to register.
