World, and it is located in Laguna Hills,
a town about an hour's drive south of
Los Angeles.
Leisure World is a huge, gated com-
munity, which opened in 1964. You
cannot just drive up and drop in. You
must be invited by a resident or you can
rill ahead and sign up for a free two-
hour tour. Guests travel throughout the
grounds, which are filled with lovely
landscaping. You will visit the clubhous-
es, sports facilities, administration build-
ing, library and you will see many home
style and housing options. For tour
reservations, call 1-800-711-9273.
There are over 100 different clubs in
Leisure World — something for every- ,
one. The Yiddish Club has weekly dis-
cussion and entertainment meetings.
The morning sessions start at 10:45
am., but first the members and guests
eat; hot bagels and coffee are served
starting at 9:45 a.m.
