PERRY APPLEBAUM, 70, of Oak
Park, died May 14. Mr. Applebaum
was the owner of People's Plumbing
Supply in Wyandotte.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth
Applebaum; sons and daughters-in-
law, Michael and Diane Applebaum
of West Bloomfield, Alan and Sandie
Applebaum of West Bloomfield;
daughters and sons-in-law, Nadine
and Jeffrey Eder of Ypsilanti, Elyse
and Manny Guerrero of Los Angeles;
grandchildren, Marni and David
Applebaum, Matthew and Kevin
Eder, Katie and Spencer Applebaum;
sisters, Shirlee Harris, Doris Apple-
baum; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-
law, Esther Prohow, Trude and
Joseph Ash and Milton and Tillie Sil-
verman.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

ANNE G. FOGEL, 86, of Memphis,
Tenn., died May 11.
Mrs. Fogel is survived by her son,
Marvin E. Fogel; daughter, Barbara E.
Klayman; five grandchildren, two
great-grandchildren; brothers, Leon
Grablow, Nate Grablow; sisters,
Worma G. Pike, Kay G. Vanaman,
Ruth G. Fradle. She was the beloved
wife of the late Jack Fogel.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

charity of one's choice. Arrangements
by the Ira Kaufman Chapel.

JOSEPH H. COHEN, 95, of Farm-
ington Hills, died May 16. He was a
graduate of Wayne State University
and a practicing pharmacist for 65
years. He received an honorary Ph.D.
from the University of Arizona. Mr.
Cohen was the oldest member of the
Scottsdale Symphony Orchestra in
which he played violin for seven
years.
He is survived by his grandchil-
dren, Maureen, Marton, Mona and
Daniel Wagner, Marc and Nancy
Amhowitz; great-grandchildren, Brett,
Dana, Lisa, Kevin, Jodi, Carly and
Blake. Mr. Cohen was the beloved
husband of the late Ethel Cohen; lov-
ing father of the late Joyce Amhowitz.
Interment in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Arrangements by the Ira Kaufman

RUTH HERSHMAN, 87, of New
York, died May 12. Ms. Hershman
was a communal work administrator
for the Zionist Organization.
She is survived by her sister, Eiga
Hershman of New York; nieces and
nephews, Susan and Dr. Burton Ellis
of Farmington Hills, Judi and David
Hinds, Debbie Schoenbaum, Joel and
Debbie Hershman, Miriam and
Claude Taylor of Chicago, Joelle Her-
shman; greatnieces and greatnephews;
sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Edith
and Ralph Levin. Ms. Hershman was
the beloved daughter of the late Rabbi
Abraham and the late Miriam Hersh-
man; the dear sister of the late David
Hershman.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to Congregation Shaarey Zedek,
27275 Bell Road, Southfield, MI
48034. Arrangements by the Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

NANCY LESSER EISNER, 46, of
Santa Monica, Calif., died May 16.
Ms. Eisner is survived by her father
and stepmother, Robert and Lois
Lesser of Beverly Hills; sisters and
brother-in-law, Ellen and Dr. Les
Siegel of Bloomfield Hills, Carolyn
Lesser of Santa Monica; nephews,
Michael, Eric and Steven Siegel; step-
brothers, stepsisters and their spouses,
Craig and Maureen Zamler, Dr.
David and Didi Zamler, Diane Hen-
ninger and Sherwin and Monica
Zamler. She was the loving daughter
of the late Elaine Lesser.
Interment at Beth El Memorial

LILLIE HOCHBERG, 92, of Austin!
Texas, formerly of Detroit, died May
14.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Herbert and Suzanne
Hochberg of Austin; sisters, Dora
Pogats of Southfield, Minnie Gross-
man of Southfield; grandson, Jon-Erik
Hochberg. Mrs. Hochberg was the
beloved wife of the late George
Hochberg.

interment were held at Clover Hill
Park Cemetery in Birmingham.
