BLUE CHIP
We'd like to give you a great reason
to switch to Sterling Bank & Trust. It's
called exceptional service.
At Sterling, we've
grown over the years
because we're family
owned and run.
We treat our customers the way we'd
like to be treated —like family.
We've become known for consistently
paying high interest rates on savings be-
cause that's important to you.
So we've made it important to us.
Please stop in at one of our offices
and let us show you how we can be of
real help with personal and corporate
banking, investment and personal
trust services, corporate and pension
fund management, and of course,
commercial lending.

and the next morning at 7 a.m. it was
sitting on my desk."
A graduate of Michigan State

president and Joe is the vice presiderj,
of the company, which is located just
west of the Ambassador Bridge in
southwest Detroit. Along with corpo-

good at ping pong, thanks to a strate-

mail machines and laser printers. "It's

What They Do
Quality Mailing and Fulfillment
Services does the following:
• "Large-volume mail process-
ing is our core business," says
Linda Erlich. Currently working
on an 8-million piece mailing,
Erlich explains that the pieces
could "fill up the first floor of
Hudson's."
The primary reason a client
would want to hire Quality
Mailing is to save on postage. "You
can mail a first class letter for 32
cents or for 24.9 cents. A compa-
ny with large mailings can save
over $1 million in postage alone
by using a company such as ours,"
Erlich says. Her company also
maintains mailing lists and
employees can stuff, laser-print
envelopes or cards, adhere labels,
basically everything but deliver the
letters.
• "Fulfillment" also factors
into the business. "You're reading
the Detroit Free Press and you want
to order one of their special Red ,--\
Wings memorabilia items," says
Erlich. "You dial a number. We
answer it. We gather the funds and
deposit them in the Free Press
account, and we mail out the
items to the customers. That's
product fulfillment."
• Literature fulfillment
a
new parent leaving the hospital
with a newborn will also take
home a stack of diaper and baby
formula coupons along with new-
baby information. That packet is
part of your take-home baggage,
thanks to a company such as
Erlich's that works directly with
the hospital as a client.
