Newman is valedictorian and a
member of the National and
Spanish honor societies. She
served as president of Habonim
Dror's Detroit Ken, and partici-
pated in Generation of Promise,
ADI2s Dream Dialogue Team,
and a fledgling Seeds of Peace
chapter for Jewish and Palestin-
ian teens. She will attend the
Jewish Theological Seminary
joint program with Columbia
University.

Parker is a lawyer on the mock
trial team, which won fourth,
second, and first places in state
competition, and sixth in the
nation. She plays No. 4 singles
on the tennis team and runs on
the track team. She received a
National Merit commendation,
an ACT recognition award, Phi
Beta Kappa, and attended
NFTY's youth leadership camp.
She will attend the University of
Michigan Honors College on a
Regents -Alumni Scholarship.

Rappaport is a National Merit
finalist, member of National
Honor Society, and a Michigan
Math Prize finalist. He received
the Dartmouth Book Award and
Purdue Science Scholar recogni-
tion. He was a two-time partici-
pant in State Honors Choir and
the Michigan Youth Arts Festival,
and is a four-year member of
Kishon AZA. He plans to study
engineering at Stanford Universi-

Rappaport is a pomarette in
marching band, member of
National Honor Society, Scholars
Plus and Interact Club (Rotary).
She participated in the Rotary
Youth Leadership Awards in
Ridgetown, Canada, where her
group received second place for
their world problem project. She
worked on technical crew for four
school plays and musicals. She is
Phi Beta Kappa and will attend
the University of Michigan.
