FYI A Family Haggadah 2 (Kar-Ben Copies) Reviewed by Emily Foxen-Craft This book has both good and bad things. Although some things might be considered nor- mal, they seem different to Orthodox or tra- ditional Jews. Some good things that I found in this book were very nice pictures. I also like that they warn you that you are not allowed to eat peanuts on Pesach since they are legumes, and they let you know of customs from other countries. I think it was nice to suggest Pesach games. I have not tried them, but they seem fun. Some suggestions Orthodox or traditional Jews might not recognize and think are inappropriate, such as noshing on rajsins and nuts dur- ing the seder. Some people might be insulted wt-,en the author asks if you think the splitting of the Yam Suf was a coincidence or by Hashem. I think this book is meant for a fami- ly to read, but I don't really suggest it for Orthodox or traditional Jews. Emily Foxen-Craft, 10, attends Akiva Hebrew Day School in Lath- : rup Village.
