Among Alison's mitzvah projects were volunteering at Fleischman, making dolls for sick chil- dren through Hadassah and planning a birthday party for children at the Lighthouse. Attending West Hills Middle School, she is interested in soccer, volleyball, diving, dance, ski- ing, forensics and tennis. Alexa Feldman Alexa Carlit Feldman will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Satur- day, May 16, at Congregation B'nai Moshe. Alexa is the daughter of Caren and Marc Feld- man and sister of Bethany. She is the granddaughter of Sandra and Bob Feldman, Dorothy and Al Mazer and Julius and Naomi Har- wood. Alexa is an honor student at Warner Middle School and plays percussion in the band. She loves to dance, taking lessons in tap, jazz and ballet; she is an apprentice teacher at her dance studio. Alexa also enjoys reading and singing, and is an avid camper. Stephen Kahn Stephen Andrew Kahn will be called tl the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Friday, May 15, at Temple Israel. He is the son of Susan and Mur- ray Kahn, brother of David and Alexa and grand- child of Doris and Leo Friedman and Lenore and Julius Katz. He is also the grandson of the late Albert Burstein and the late Eugene Kahn. His most meaningful mitzvah pro- ject was to help build a wheelchair ramp for a young girl recently stricken with multiple sclerosis to facilitate access into her home. A student at Warner Middle School, Steve plays piano and the French horn and enjoys baseball, skiing, basketball and snow- boarding as well as video games. Jocelyn Gotlib Jocelyn Suzanne Gotlib of Ann Arbor will celebrate her bat mitzvah on Friday, May 15, at Temple Beth Emeth.
