new students each year and, ultimate-
ly, having 10 percent of its total
enrollment Ethiopian Israelis. Israel's
Ethiopian community makes up only
about 1 percent of the population.
Ethiopians for Engineering covers
all tuition and living expenses for stu-
dents. Some are given money for
clothing and bus fare home to visit
their families. Students have up to six
years to complete the program.

Employees

More than 350 business and commu-
nity leaders are expected at Jewish
Vocational Service's "Strictly Business"
awards luncheon May 27.
The 11:30 a.m. event will honor
four former JVS clients now working
for Detroit area businesses. The four
will be cited as employees of the year.
Keynote speaker for the 11:30 a.m.

Dearborn will be Robert Lutz, vice.
