where he is an
honor student.
Benjamin's inter-
ests include the
computer, swim-
ming, sports and
golfing. Benjamin's mitzvah project was
helping out at Yad Ezra.

Shannon Fink
Shannon Fink will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
May 9, at Temple Israel. Shannon is
the daughter of
Kathleen Wilson-
Fink and Harvey
Fink and is the sis-
ter of Scott Fink.
Joining in the cele-
bration will be
grandparents Car-
ole and Don Wil-
son and great-
grandmother Edith
Stockdale. Shannon is the granddaugh-
ter of the late Harry and Sylvia Fink.
Shannon volunteers her time work-
ing with the elderly and with AIDs
patients. She is an honor student at
East Hills Middle School and has cho-
sen to donate a percentage of her gifts
to Jewish Family Service, Temple
Israel's Children's Media Center and
the Alzheimer's Association of Michi-
gan.
Shannon enjoys piano, art, comput-
er and softball. Sharing in her simchah
will be family and friends from Califor-
nia, Arizona, Minnesota and Ohio.

Engagements

Gonte Miller

Samuel Gonte of Southfield
announces the engagement of his
daughter Pamela Rachel Gonte to
Daniel Richard Miller, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Miller of Evart, Mich.
Pamela also is the daughter of the late
Roselyn Gonte.
Ms. Gonte earned a bachelor of arts
degree in psychology at Oakland Uni-
versity. She is employed at Medical Cen-
ter Pharmacies at Grace Hospital in
Detroit. Mr. Miller is employed at
William Beaumont Hospital in Royal
Oak.
A June wedding is planned at Con-
gregation Beth Achim.

the Masonic Temple in Detroit. Rabbi
Yosef Gavriel Bechhofer of Congrega-
tion Bais Tefila, Chicago, brother-in-
law of the bride, officiated. Abraham
(Avy) Schreiber, brother of the bride,
was the chazzan. Parents of Elisabeth
and Simeon are Rita and Bert
