She is the daughter of Joseph and Brigid Kahn and of "at Patricia Kahn, sis- ter of Matthew. Rachel is an honor student at Birney Middle School. Her inter- ests include read- ing, riding bikes, swimming and playing piano. In the Federation Piano Competition, she achieved a superior rating for four consecutive years. Rachel is looking forward to her fourth summer at Olin-Sang- Ruby Union Institute in Oconomowoc, Wis. Her mitzvah project consisted of helping out at Yad Ezra. He is the son of Enid and Gary Goodman, brother of Roger and grandchild of Mary Goodman and Lillian Schwartz. He is also the grandson of the late Albert Goodman and the late Larry M. Schwartz. Mitzvah projects included volun- teering at and donating to Yad Ezra as well as assisting in Temple Israel's baby-sitting program. Brandon plays the drums and piano and enjoys rollerblading, skiing, basketball, ten- nis, football, hockey, bowling and golf. Kinneret Albalak Kinneret Albalak will become bat mitz- vah at Temple Kol Ami on May 9. She is the daughter of Eldad and Armonite Albalak and sister of Alon. She is the granddaughter of Ruth and Simon Maroko and Miri- am and Yaakov Albalak of Jerusalem. Kinneret is an honor student at Orchard Lake Middle School. She plays the saxophone and piano and enjoys dancing ballet. Her mitzvah projects included raking leaves for seniors, creating baskets for the Great Purim Parcel Project and working at Yad Ezra, including on Kol Ami Mitzvah Day Rebecca Kam Rebecca Kam of West Bloomfield will be bat mitzvah at Congregation Shaarey Zedek B'nai Israel Center on Saturday, May 9. Rebecca is the daughter of Flora and Dr. Eli Kam and sister of Dr. David Kam and Michael Kam. Rebecca is an honor student at Hillel Day School. Her interests include basketball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, hockey, art and music. A party in her honor will be held on Sunday, May 10. Blair Nosan Blair Elizabeth Nosan will become a bat mitzvah on Friday, May 8, at Temple Beth El. She is the daughter of Jo-Anne and Terry Nosan and sister to Loren and Stephanie. _ Proud grandpar- ents are Esther and Nathan Katz and Pet and Manny Nosan. Blair attends West Hills Middle School and is active in tennis, soccer, skiing, snow- boarding and drama. Her mitzvah projects included akinc, and delivering P baskets to the elderly and helping restore the Glasser Library in a Detroit public school, which was destroyed by a fire. She also worked weekly helping out at her old elementary school.
