(ATS), was installed as president of
the Detroit Chap-
ter of the ATS.
James Deutch-
man, immediate
past president of
the chapter,
became the new
chair of the
board. Dr. Joseph
N. Epel, a mem-
ber of the nation- Morris Rochlin

Boards and a former Detroit chapter
president himself, was the installing
officer.
Mr. Rochlin, an engineer by train-
ing, is the founder and owner of Foa-
made Industries. He sits on the
National Boards of the ATS and the
Jewish Hospital in Denver, Colo.

"Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai-Grandfa-
ther of the Kabbalah" will be the
topic of the next Detroit Jewish Judi-
cial Seminar 12:15 p.m. Wednesday,
May 13, in the Riverside Conference
Room 700A of the Detroit
City/County Building. The luncheon,
led by Rabbi Herschel Finman, will be
a look at the Zohar, Judaism's Book of
Splendor, which is the basis of the

modern day Kabbalah. Kosher lunch
is $10; accompanied friend is $5. For

Dr. Ronald Goldman, author of Cir-
cumcision: The Hidden Trauma and

Questioning Circumcision: A Jewish
Perspective, will speak at 3 p.m. Sun-

day, May 17, at the Birmingham Tem-
ple.
Dr. Goldman will speak on the psy-
chological, cultural and religious
aspects of infant male circumcision.
He is a psychologist, educator and the
executive director of the Circumcision
Resource Center in Boston. Free
admission.
