Susan Fern Widenbaum and
Lance Kevin Vainik were recently
married at Temple Beth El in
Bloomfield Hills. Rabbi Daniel
Syme and Cantor Stephen Dubov
officiated.
Susan is the daughter of Ronna
and Victor Widenbaum of South-
field. Lance is the son of Philip
Vainik of Oak Park and Rosalyn
Slater of West Bloomfield, both for-
merly of South Africa.
Diane Widenbaum, sister-in-law
of the bride, was the matron of
honor. Bridesmaids were good
friends of the bride, Lisa Drake
Kruzel, Renee Journeau Letchworth,
Christie Smith; Melissa Vainik, sister
of the groom and Amy Widenbaum,
sister of the bride.
Robert Diskin, longtime friend
and business partner of the groom,
was the best man. Groomsmen were
Dr. Jonathan Widenbaum, brother
of the bride, Chris Walsh and Dr.
Steven Moss.
Amanda Leff, cousin of the bride,
and Samantha Pelkey, goddaughter
of the groom, were the flower girls;
Arica Leff, cousin of the bride, was
the ringbearer. Susan was honored to
have been escorted down the aisle by
her father.
Susan is an attorney and owner
of the Law Offices of Susan F.
Widenbaum P.C. in Westland; Lance
is preident of Viking
Asset Management, Inc. in Birming-
ham.
Following an extended
honeymoon in South Africa, the
groom's native country, the couple
continue to reside in Huntington
Woods.
