The bride-to-be is a graduate of Har-
rison High School and Oakland Uni-
versity with a bachelor of science degree
in education. She is employed as a mid-
dle school teacher in South Lyon.
The groom is a graduate of Harri-
son High School and Lawrence Tech-
nological University with a bachelor of
science degree in mechanical engineer-
ing. He is employed as a tooling man-
ager at Woodbridge Automotive Seat-
ing in Whitmore Lake.
A June wedding is planned at
Bay Pointe Country Club in Bloom-
field Hills. The couple will honey-
moon in Jamaica and make their
home in this area.

Porth Michelson

Jason Porth and Abigail Michelson are
looking forward to their wedding this
summer in Napa Valley, Calif. Jason is
the son of Dianne Silverstein of West
Bloomfield and Manuel Proth of
Coral Springs, Fla. Abby's parents,
Harmon and Edith Michelson, live in
San Francisco.
Abby will complete her masters of
management degree in August at Bran-
deis University. Jason is a law student at
Northeastern University in Boston.
The two met at Brandeis University
five years ago and were engaged in
December 1996.

Cohn-Charlip

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Cohn of
Farmington Hills are delighted to
announce the engagement of their
daughter Jody Elizabeth to Ari
Matthew Charlip, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Eliot Charlip of West Bloom-
field.
Jody earned her bachelor of sci-
ence degree in elementary education
at Eastern Michigan University. She
is employed as a teacher in the West
Bloomfield School district. An
earned his undergraduate degree
from the University of Michigan and
completed a juris doctor degree at
the University of Detroit Mercy
School of Law. He is a partner in the
family business.
An August wedding is planned at
Temple Israel.
