MILDRED PERLIS, 91, of Staten
Island, N.Y., died April 21: Mrs.
Perlis was a marriage counselor and
had her own practice for over 25
years. She pioneered work in mar-
riage counseling, was a member of
the National Council of Jewish
Women, a member of the Jewish
Community Institute of Retired Pro-
fessionals, a member of the Torah
Group of Temple Beth El and is
mentioned in the Who's Who of
American Women.
Mrs. Perlis is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law, Linda and
Lawrence Black of Staten Island,
N.Y.; son, Efrem Perlis of Southfield;
grandson, David Black. She was the
beloved wife of the late Harry Perlis.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to the National Council of Jew-
ish Women, 30233 Southfield Road,
Southfield, MI 48076. Arrangements
by the Ira Kaufman Chapel.
SALLY PETRAKOVITZ, 80, of
Southfield, died April 24. Mrs.
Petrakovitz was a piano teacher. She
was a former longtime member of
the Detroit Musicians League and a
member of Hadassah.
Mrs. Petrakovitz is survived by her
daughter, Marian Ruth Mihail of Los
Angeles; son and daughter-in-law,
David and Joyce Petrakovitz of Cadil-
lac; grandchildren, John, Michael and
Frank Mihail, Sonya Petrakovitz;
brother, Max Opperman of California.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Frank Petrakovitz.
Interment at Beth El Memorial
