Live entertainment is Thursday,
Friday and Saturday evenings.
Dinners include: Soup, salad,
spaghetti, vegetable and potato.
Also noteworthy is that a member
of the family is almost always on the
premises.
Duke and Chris each put in 50 to
60 hours a week ... Chris's wife, Lor-
,-D raine Rado, works the floor, is host-
ess and books parties ... Her brother,
Walt Sawicki, worked in the kitchen
at Lelli's about four years ... Paul
Skoczylas was head server at Lelli's, a
position he also has at Ernest Larco.
Barbara Zanetti, hostess and what-
ever may be needed of her fine ser-
vices, is a valuable asset at Ernest
Larco ... Guy Eyster, head bartender,
started at Lelli's on Woodward in
Detroit back in 1982 and helped
open Lelli's of Auburn Hills.
Chris's mother, Madeline,
Schmaltzy's daughter, is at the restau-
rant every day hostessing, on the
floor, etc. ... Ernest Larco's dad,
Nick, and Madeline's mother, Rose,
were brother and sister.
The pasta is what you would
> expect from a restaurant bearing the
Larco name ... 11 styles are heavy
favorites.
A separate wine list and large wine
rack as you enter contain excellent
selections, both by the glass and bot-
tle.
Ernest Larco, with its tuxedoed
wait staff, white linen tablecloths and
white linen napkins, has a wonderful
dining room ambience. It reflects
Italian colors softly and gracefully
toned in a most relaxing atmosphere
that also includes a waiting area with
a large fireplace and soft leather
sofas.
Also notable are the acoustics,
which are appreciated by many ...
Regardless the amount of people,
conversations are still held without
(= shouting.
Sure there's whitefish ... a regular
special broiled or otherwise.
The food is all based on recipes
from both Larco's Inn and Lelli's
You can't beat this.
Ernest Larco had a very big chal-
lenge before it opened ... It would be
eyed with huge amounts of scrutiny
... After opening, those "I dare you' ,
attitudes turned to approved smiles.
In other words, the boys have
done it.
IT'S BINGO TIME again and
expect hollering of the five letter
word as Galilee Chapter, Jewish
Women International, holds its 38th
