Ecumenical Institute for
Jewish- Christian Studies in
Southfield. In 1994, he began the
institute's Dove Award, recognizing
leadership from the Jewish and Christ-
ian communities.
This year, longtime friend and

Roman will be one of three Dove hon-
orees at an April 28 dinner at Congre-
gation Shaarey Zedek.

Two years ago, Roman volunteered
Temple Kol Ami for the institute's
church-synagogue tour, where clergy
answer questions from the participants
and give the history of their congrega-
tion.
According to Brodsky, Roman has
been very accommodating, allowing
groups from other faiths to visit Kol
Ami.
