gram for Hebrew speakers at the
Agency for Jewish Education's
Midrasha Center for Adult Jewish
tudies, noon Sunday, April 19, at

Hebrew on "The
Kibbutz: Past,
Present and
Future."
Ms. Canning
is here on a two-
year assignment
to work with
Sara Canning
children and
teens from the Midwest. She was born
in South Africa, immigrated to Israel
with her family when she was 6 years
old, and grew up on Kibbutz Kfar
Hamaccabi near Haifa.
The monthly Mifgash is free. Light
refreshments are provided:

But volunteering isn't about dollars. It's
about bringing joy to the lives of the
aged, advocating for people with disabili-.
ties, raising funds for the Allied Jewish
