A Talmud class at Ynai Moshe: The
AJE hopes to be a clearinghouse for dif-
ferent adult education providers.

"If that's successful, then we'll look
for more funding," he said.
A Federation committee, the Fisher
Foundation — according to its pub-
lished guidelines — funds "the startup
• period of innovative and creative pro-
jects that enhance the quality of life
for members of the community." It
provides grants up to $25,000, using a
total pool of $200,000 drawn from the
United Jewish Foundation Endow-
ment Fund.
Randie Levin, assistant director of
Federation's planning division does not
• anticipate the Fisher Foundation
( awarding future grants for the project.
"In the future, if it's going to con-
tinue, it could be something that's part
of the AJE annual budget," she said.
The AJE received a total allocation
of $1,132,758 from the Federation last
year. Mindell — who is also the
agency's treasurer — said the amount
in the AJE's overall budget slated for
• adult education is "very small." ❑
